Anna and Todd C. share their top 5 fine outings from their recent trip to Queensland Australia. Queensland is quite a large state so they shared some fine outings from Cairns and Brisbane which are both amazing destinations!
HIT ? Cairns – Hartley’s Crocodile Farm
This is a very fun way to see a lot of Australia’s wildlife and learn more about crocodiles. The Saltwater crocodiles are bred primarily for their skin and meat as well as part of conservation efforts. You may just leave here with a croc souvenir or two! Click Here for more information about the Farm and other Hartley Crocodile Adventure opportunities you can take advantage of on your visit!
HIT ? Cairns – Skyrail Rainforest Cableway to Kuranda
This was a fun way to see the rainforest and get to Kuranda, which had traditional Australian souvenirs and experiences. It is really a unique way to see some of the truly beautiful scenery abundant in northeastern Australia. Click here to see some of your options for the cableway.
HIT ? Brisbane – Gold Coast Beaches
While technically not in Brisbane, Gold Coast is just an hour south and has beaches that are world-famous for their surfing. Not only are the beaches a great way to spend a vacation relaxing or surfing, but there are a handful of amusement parks and Gold Coast boasts the southern hemispheres tallest building, Q1, which you can go to the top of. You could spend your entire visit in Gold Coast and still not hit all of the attractions but definitely plan for at least a day trip to this amazing place!
HIT ? Brisbane – Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary
This was THE place to see koalas. They have tons of koalas and you can pay to hold one or pet one for free. You can also feed a number of other Aussie animals such as kangaroos, wallabies, and emus. To find out more about tickets and other information about the sanctuary visit the website.
HIT ? Brisbane – South Bank
This parkland located in the heart of Brisbane provides stunning river views and a great environment to unwind and just meander around taking in the city. There are plenty of places to eat and they have events going on all the time. Spending some time here is something that is common for locals and tourists alike. This is one of Brisbane’s premier destinations!
